FUTURE SOIL® POWER BREAKER is positioned for compacted, low-infiltration, hydrophobic and difficult-to-wet non-sodic soil. It is not the sodic-soil product and it is not the same as HYDRO LEVEL.

Three problems that look similar

Low infiltration or hydrophobicity

Water struggles to enter the profile. Surface repellency, compaction or difficult-to-wet conditions dominate. This is where POWER BREAKER fits.

High-infiltration sand

Water enters easily but moves too rapidly and too vertically below the active root zone. HYDRO LEVEL is designed for that distribution problem.

Sodic or dispersive clay

Clay particles disperse, the surface seals and the soil hardsets after drying. CLAY FIXER is the relevant product pathway.

How to diagnose before treatment

  1. Observe first contact. Does water bead and run, or enter immediately?
  2. Check physical resistance. Compare penetration and root depth across wet and dry zones.
  3. Test for dispersion. If clay clouds water and collapses, investigate sodicity before selecting POWER BREAKER.
  4. Review irrigation. Droplet size, application rate and coverage can mimic a soil-treatment problem.
  5. Map the site. Mark traffic zones, dry patch, slope, shade and profile changes.

Where POWER BREAKER fits

Practical program

  1. Pre-wet where the profile and label program require it.
  2. Apply evenly across a representative test area.
  3. Irrigate according to the site-specific program.
  4. Keep traffic and irrigation settings consistent during comparison.
  5. Measure infiltration time, runoff, wetting depth, dry-patch recurrence and root response.

What POWER BREAKER does not replace

It does not replace aeration where severe physical compaction requires mechanical relief. It does not correct sodicity, and it should not be positioned as a moisture-retention treatment for freely draining sand. These distinctions are essential to product performance.
